Call for Papers

The 2019 Meeting of the International Society for Data Science and Analytics (ISDSA) is now open for paper submission till April 15, 2019. The ISDSA Meeting is for anyone who is interested in data science and data analytics. Researchers, practitioners, educators and users come together at the ISDSA Meeting to present new and ongoing work and to discuss future directions for data science and data analytics. We welcome the submission of theoretical and method papers, applications and case studies, tutorials, and software.

You are welcome to submit either a regular or speed paper. All papers will be rigorously reviewed. We strive to inform the decision of your paper within two weeks after submission.

  • Regular papers will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. A regular paper submission will also be automatically considered for speed paper presentation. Each speaker receives 30 minutes. All accepted papers are presented in the invited regular paper session.
  • Speed papers will be reviewed by at least one reviewer. Each speaker receives 5minutes. All accepted speed papers are presented in the invited speed paper session.

Any topic related to data science and data analytics is welcome. The talks will be organized around the following themes.

1. Theory and Methods

This theme will consist of talks on the development of methods and models for data analysis including new mathematical and statistical techniques and methods development.

2. Application and Case Studies

This theme will highlight the connection between data analysis techniques and its application to particular data in social, behavioral, education, physical, biological sciences, and related areas to deepen the substantive understanding of phenomena in one or more disciplines.

3. Tutorials

This theme will focus on explaining how to apply a particular method or technique.

4. Software

This section will consist of talks regarding data analysis software and programs such as R functions, R packages, SAS macros or standard-alone programs.

Author Guidelines

Each proposal should include a short abstract and an optional summary of your finished or proposed research in a PDF or Word file including text, tables, and figures. The abstract and/or description should provide enough information to evaluate the contribution of your study. If the study has been completed, please include your results and conclusions. If it's an ongoing study, make sure to include the expected results. The abstract will be typed directly on the submission page. You should save your summary into PDF (preferred), OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format and upload it along with your abstract. So prepare your summary and save it into a file before your submission. Only English abstracts are accepted.
